what do cage risers do, other then the obvious? Actually that question was vague. Do you mean the base bushings? And I think I might just order the same.

Uhm cage risers, increase the height of the shifter box a little, and the fortify it so the box doesnt move that much since stock are rubber. And the cable bushings replace the rubber bushing that connects the shifter cables to the transmission. Metal bushings = cleaner, stiffer, smoother shift. Id get it.

Solid shifter bushings will make a world of difference! They definitely are a must have upgrade along with the short shifter.

Hi JDMTC5,

Sorry for the delayed response. There are some pretty big differences between the B&M unit and the TWM Performance short shifter. First off our short shifter is TIG welded together perfectly whereas the B&M is held together with spring clips which can come apart and rattle together.

Secondly we offer a bigger throw reduction. The B&M shifter reduces throw by 25% while our TWM Performance shifter reduces throw by 35%. Finally our machining and finishing processes are far superior to any other company and we offer a LIFETIME warranty on all of our products.
