New Scion tC owner from KY here (pics of car)
Hey guys, thought I would introduce myself.
I live in Bowling Green, KY.
I am new to my tC but been wanting one for a daily driver for a while now. I am also a Nissan 350z owner. My original desire was a stock-automatic (my Z's a stick). You know.. something kinda nice and good looking but just to get around in cause I already had my Z right...
Well what i ended up with was the exact opposite!
found a pretty heavily modded 2005 with high mileage and was a stick.
The car has 190,000 miles on the body and 90,000 on the motor. (original blew, got the paperwork)
here is what came on the car.
-aftermarket vision 18" wheels (black w/ polished lip)
-Headers (unsure brand)
-Lowring Springs (unsure brand)
-custom tailights
-newer factory HU (got recipt.. guess orig. blew)
-high flow cat and custom exhaust (unfished tho.. no muffler :/. the exhaust stops around rear axle.. i will try to get pics cause i need help with this..)
-carbon fiber engine cover
-ingen intake
-pretty sure aftermarket stiffer clutch
-prolly missing a few things... im sure I will find more custom stuff as time goes
its not an automatic for a DD like i wanted.. its a stick.. dont get me wrong i love driving a stick was just not my desire on this car in particular and what i wanted it for.. however.. i am very happy with it.
car is black and has a few digs and scratches and what not.. i got a couple quirks i gotta work out.
airbag light on, cruise wont work, horn wont work. i think this is all a bad spiral cable in the clock spring. (if anyone has a good clock spring i would be interested if the price is fair)
also.. fan only is running on high speed, gotta get a fan speed resistor
passenger side window works but i gotta do a lil work to it.. adhesive that holds glass to the mechanisim has came off gotta take it out and re-glue the holders back on.
ok.. so now lets get to numbers...
what do you think i paid?
well i think i got a good deal! $3,000
seems to be a solid car.. runs and handles real well and I am happy with it.. been wanting a tC for a while now and finally got one.
now lets see if i can put a picture up
Well what do you guys think? Think I got me a good deal?
hope you like it. I think for the money its def a head turner and nice lookin ride.
Looks like a good informative forum and im glad to be a part of it.
