Default Redesigned SC

Sometime mid-2007 Lexus will be selling a totally redesigned SC to compete against BMW's 6-series.

No word on what the displacement will be like, I have a feeling it be like the new LS460. Which would make sense seeing its about 380 hp / 370 ft-lbs and the 6-series is 360 hp / 360 lbs-ft. Also would be interesting if they do make a hybrid version, but probably will not see the light of day.

It will be sitting on the IS/GS platform. May'be finally some more room for the rear seat passengers. Also the hard-top convertible shall make a return

Most likely will have Lexus famous new 8-speed transmission, hopefully with paddle shift to compete with BMW 6-Series SMG.

Would be nice to have two different versions a SC, 460 and SC 600h.

The SC 600h, would be slightly tuned 440 hp (328 kW) / 485 ft-lb (660 Nm)

Also a retractable glass roof similar to the one found on the LF-C.

Also a nice feature install in the on-board computer to change the gear ratio: comfort / sport / race (F1)

Also would be nice if they bring over most or all of the stuff you find on the LS460 and LS600h. Like all the new features also a variant of the new 19 speaker 450 watt Mark Levinson audio system.

Price would be starting at probably $73,000 USD (SC460) / $80,000 USD (SC600h)
