15,000 Mile Maintenance Cost
I was checking the web sites of a couple of local dealers for their prices on 15K service. Dealer 1 (where I bought my xB ) shows a price of $190. Dealer 2 (where I just got my xB repaired after an accident) shows a price of $50. But when I called Dealer 2 to confirm, I was told that their 15K maintenance price was $200+ which included a lot of items not required by the maintenance schedule. WTF!
Doesn't Scion's Pure Price policy come into play here? How can I have the dealer just do the required service and none of the extras? (Liviing in the city I can't do it myself.)

u have many options when it comes to 15k
u can do wut most basic owners do, which is just oil change.
you can add on tire rotation (which i rec.) as well as air filter and tranny fluid drain/fill
they also rec. to clean/adjust rear brakes, and they will do multi-point inspection on the vehicle.
its up to you as to wut u want done
i would do the LOF,tire rotation (if u can't do it urself), tranny fluid drain/fill

But this is part of the reason that I'm glad I paid for scheduled maintenance through 30k.

From the Scion website: "Scion's Pure Price purchase experience means no haggle, no hassle. The price you pay for all products and services offered equals the dealership's posted and advertised price."
In this case the dealer posted one service price on its website and quoted another price over the phone. If I went in and asked for the 15K service based on the website, I'd suffer a bit of sticker shock when I got the bill.
