Default 5w30 or 0w30?

Im going to be replacing the oil on the tC tomorrow and am asking for some input on the positives and negatives of using 0w30 as compared to 5w. I will be using Mobil 1 Full Synthetic so the oil will be top quality! Anywone have any experience with putting this oil into the 2.4? I will also be using toyota oil filters for they seem to be high quality. Hehe i will even bee openin gup the old one and checking to see if there is any crap in it @ 20,000.

Let me know what you guys think!

BTW I drive lots of highways but also do some significant stop and go in the city.

Unless you expect to park your tC outdoors in seriously sub-zero temps, you don't need the 0W30, so just stick to the 5W30 as recommended by the manufacturer.

Toyota filters are actually some of the better ones on the market.

I won't comment on expecting any brand filter to do it's work well for 20K miles...

My bad Tomas......I have had the oil changed @ the recommended 5k intervals and was wondering if I would find anything inside the filter...which I hope i dont.

Well NYC isnt exactly sub zero......but it does get cold, I was hoping that it would @ least lube up faster.
