so i was trying to reset my oil maintenance light and found something new. When you reset the maintenance light you have to hold down the stick when the odometer is showing and then turn your key to the ON position.

Well I didn't realize that it had to be on the odometer setting, and I did the same steps but with TRIP 1 showing. When I turned the car to on while holding it down.....the screen read 5 - OFF then when i did it again it read 5 - ON.

Does anyone know what this actually does or what it controls or which setting it should be on?

I have no idea, but the maintenance light is set to appear at 5000 miles, maybe that shuts it on and off.. I dunno

 

yea you can change the mileage u want it to come on at 5= 5,000mi
