It sounds like you are referring to the California Car Duster. A friend recommended one to me for my new xB. However, even after following the accompanying instructions explicitly, i.e. letting the duster air out for 48 hours before using, only using on a dry surface, etc. I must say I am not impressed. It doesn't do anything to hurt the car, but it sure doesn't clean it to the extent that was advertised.

Haven't tried anything else though. The California Car Duster, while not performing as well as I expected, is not worthless; it does clean the basic dust and road dirt off my car. Cost less than $10 too.

Hope this helps.

Default You Have to use it!

Look the more you use the duster the better it works! When I frist got mine I dried it out as instructed and it still left streaks ans such but the more I used it the better results i got!!!

I use my California Car Duster every day, and every night- works great at removing loose dust and whatnot

I dont have it, but Randode even uses the California Duster to clean his box. When we where at a show last week, he pulled it out & dusted off his car. Now this is AZ we live in & that thing looked black already, but it did a good job.

Is a mop end on a stick not a mop?

Anyways, I have heard many good things about the California Duster and plan I buying one soon. Hopefully before my new tC gets dirty.
