How long will the car need to be at the dealer,2-3 days? Does this mean it will get cooler in the car alot quicker? Drove a Ford F-150 before buying the xb for better fuel economy, but the a/c in that ford was the best . I owned that thing for 10 years with no a/c problems at all.

Yep. I think they said if the dealer has to keep your car for more than a certain amount of time (maybe 8 hrs, but don't quote me) for warranty work, they have to provide a loaner car free of charge.

Carmax seems to be in the habit of not ordering parts until I physically drop my car off there, so I had loaners from them for like 3 days straight before on two different occasions. Once to have my accys installed, then for replacing a dash panel. The first time it was an Avalon (the Buick of Toyotas)...second time it was an xA.

HAHA your right, our maxima (01) need some AC work done under warranty.
CARMAX gave us a ____ty ford taurus for like the whole week, with blown front struts and a Cd player that skipped like a mother.....

But their service is great........

My mom calls it the wal mart of Car sales(lol)

By the way this effects the xA as well. I just looked up 2005 xA and it shows this TSB as well, its number is AC006-04, the xB's is AC007-04.

Work has been slow lately so maybe I can do this to my car one night to boost my hours. I don't know though I might wait until next spring to do this. That way I can see others do it and no how to short cut all that stuff.

Dont be hatin the Avalon. I had an '04 Avalon loaner. Nice leather seats, sunroof, wood/leather steering wheel. :D

I may take "tc is for turbo charged" advice and check out the Scion dealer in Glen Burnie. He said they have the regions best techs or most awards. The Mid-Atlantic Toyota parts warehouse is located in Glen Burnie as well. Not sure about the loaner car. Russel didnt ask me questions other than if I was 23 or older or not.

So does anyone know for sure what it replaces/what the tech does on the 05's?- Because I have always felt that my a/c gets cold enough.....

Will 2004 xB owners be notified to take their car in, or should we contact our dealer on our own? Also, is there anywhere you can get a copy of the actual TSB?

i called my dad to check out the tsb and it is not out to the dealers yet. everyone will have to hold on until the dealers get the info. my dad even ran my vin to check it and it was still no luck.

since this is 5 flag hours my dad mentioned this would take about 6-7 hours since techs only get 1/2 the hours on warranty work. you will want to be there to drop off the car when the dealership opens
