Battle Scars :( [xB front Skirt Scuffs]
man oh man. Rocky start to my '07.
My xB was rear-ended near T'giving by a steel-grille Wrangler. Although just minor scratches, insurance correctly estimated it would cost just shy of $600 to fix.
So took care of that,,,butt's lookin' decent now, "But"
-Around NewYear's visited a friend who has a driveway with a drasticly Steep curb drop @ the end. Anyway, reversed outta there too fast and (cue danger music) scuffed up my front skirt bumper!!!
There are a couple MAJOR scratches along w/ some minor ones too,,,I'm pretty clueless as to how to safely & effectively correct this being a newbie car owner.
Can ya'll gimme some tidbits or D.I.Y. for this damage? Although the most severe part is the Bottom of the car, some paint peels and scuffs CAN be seen in the front.
I did a search, but if anyone can link me that'd help as well.
Happy New Year by the way, can't wait to see the new Scion models!

if you had a PW, i have an easy fix...
but really, check www.paintscratch.com
pick up some touch up paint, and take the front lip off(im asuming that this is the front lip as you said "front skirt") and clean the area... take a high grit sandpaper and sand about 1/2" around the infected area, clean very well, mask unsanded area with blue painters tape, spray touch up paint in very thin coats to cover area, then spray a few layers of automotive clear coat on it, take a clean peice of very high grit sand paper, and wet sand with soapy water to a shine...
hope this helps...
