Default Best oil for high heat?

I live in Miami (92 degrees yesterday and its not even summer) I am switching to synth, @ 3k, I am at 1.5k now. I was wondering if I maybe should put like a 5w-20 or something since I dont care about freezing and all that, just best performance at high temp....

Agree with 5W-30 Mobil 1 full synthetic. It's the best thing you can put in your engine.
Zero sludge practically zero wear. I have been using it since my first car back in the 80's and have never had a single engine wear realted problem...ever!
Be aware that there are different classes of systhetics. Some considered better than others. Mobil 1 is considered a true "full synthetic" oil. I've heard that others out there like Castrol's version is not.
I'm still on regular dino oil at 10K miles to make sure certain engine components bed/wear in properly (ie..piston rings). I'll be switching over to Mobil 1 at 15K miles.

If you value your warranty, stick to 5w30 for 2004-2005 tCs and 5w20/5w30 for 2006+ tCs.
Yes, there is a difference in the new 2006 engines.
Search and ye shall find the TSB info on this.
M1, Pennz Platinum, or GC will work great.
Stick with OEM filters for the tC. Trdsparks has 10-paks for $35+shipping.
