Default CD player eats cds

Anyone else have this problem with there cd players? Makes fat grooves in them specially around the center. Like scratches in circles

yup on all the cds in my car there are grooves in them mostly closest to the cd hole..at least they are burnt cds..but i wont put real cds in there. It is the cds that are played alot, not just after one use

Is this only on the regular cd player or also on the six cd changer ?

I just realized that I had heard all these same complaints before!! Then realized that they were from me when I got my 1999 Toyota Solara. It has the same CD skipping problem; where out of know where, it will begin to skip. I just checked one of my CDs though, cuz I had never thought about that being the same before and realized that most of my CDs have weird scrathes on them. Hmm, wonder if pioneer made my Solar stereo (even though it is the premium JBL). At one time Fujitsu made all of Toyotas stuff.

Wondering, does anyone else own another Toyota product and have the same kind of problems?

Eric.
