Lucky me. A new Kroger opened up near by me with a fuel center. Thru 4-10, if you buy $35 in groceries, you get gas for .99/gal

Yeah, good gas prices aren't too hard for us to find here in Texas but when I was in San Diego and LA a month ago I couldn't believe those gas prices! Paying for gas is like paying for another car over there!!

Man, to all you cali scion people...with the high gas prices you gotta pay, how can you afford any mods?!

Yeah in spring of 1998 when gas prices dropped incredibily... here in Spring, TX i was buying gas at 70 cents a gallon... I remember thinking I should grab my camera and get someone to take my pic in from the huge Racetrac sign with the prices posted.

Heck when i was a kid in the mid 80s it was still about 90 cents a gallon.... so 70 cents a gallon in 1998 was crazy.

But it is kinda only fair that TX has cheap gas prices... there is a staggering number of refineries near Houston... remember Houston has the nations worst air pollution, I guess its the price we pay.

I'm gonna date myself here, but I remember back in the late '60s, gas at the Vickers station on Johnson Drive in Mission, Kansas was like 11 cents a gallon. If my xB was bone dry, I'd be paying $1.31 to fii it up!

gas is really getting high now. i mean, it goes up and down, but california is just so high. especially so. cal. north OC has the lowest prices in my area (anaheim in the ghetto), but guess what? where i work and usually get gas, in san clemente..it's at the top of the list. $2.35 for 87 octane. i found it for $2.15 by my house though. i'm glad i don't have my wrx anymore!!

oh well. it's just money.

My wife is from the woodlands. I know what you mean. When she says something postive about texas I remind her it's flat and it smells funny! Thats a good way to ____ her off every time!
