Just don't use armorall. Use something like Meguiar's or something. It'll shine and it won't crack or peel.

This has been discussed before but I can't seem to find the link. You might want to do your own search and see what you can come up with. I just use the Armor all wipes...

I don't use any Armor All at all. Never have. It actually has an ingredient that causes your dash or plastic or whatever to crack and fade. THat's why you need to keep using it. Plus Armor All attracks dust and dirt. I usually use Stoners Glass cleaner and a microfiber towel to clean my dash and door panels.

Another good thing to use since you want it shiny is Meguiar's leather cleaner and conditioner. Just put it on your dash.

I just wet a rag, ring it out real well and use that. It wont shine, but it gets all the dust and looks good, Is that interior actually meant to shine?

Not on my car/truck cause it scratches it but I do use those swiffer dusters on the inside too.

Gotcha.
I've never used it on the out side, but a friend of mine had a little one for the dash. That thing was slick as hell. 2 passes and the dash was clean.

Yeah I've seen those just never bought one. I've always used the swiffers.

Yeah, I guess the swiffer would be a bit cheaper.

I don't think it's that much cheaper since you have to keep buying the Swiffer refills. I've seen the small California Duster for about $6 or $7 at Wal-Mart and Target (where it's marketed under a house brand - Baja something or other).

I use my Shopvac with the brush attachment to clean the dust of all of the surfaces before I apply a cleaner.

Thanks for the info about the Armor All. I'l lhave to stop using that now. You suggested Maguiar's as a superior alternative? I'll have to get some; do they make different types? Is one better than another?

Yeah you can use Meguiar's leather cleaner and conditoner. Even if it isn't leather on your dash to give a shine. I don't use it on mine since I don't want a shine but have in the past. I think the best they make is the "Gold Class" leather cleaner/conditoner. Or if you can't find that brand Lexol is also a good brand. Unlike Armorall a leather conditoner will help on plastics fading/cracking. Detailing is a big hobby of mine!
