So,
I submitted these two photos in an online contest for "best shine":

According to the email I just got:
Jan and I wish to thank the nearly 300 enthusiasts that submitted photographs for judging. We printed every photograph, assigned each a number and posted it on our office wall. There was no name on any photograph nor was there any information of the products used on the car. Our staff conducted a preliminary judging to select 18 finalists. From these final contestants, our judges selected the first, second and third prize winners. This year's contest was particularly hard to judge because we had so many absolutely fantastic photos submitted. While we congratulate the three winners above, we felt that every photo sent displayed a stunning shine. Thank you for taking part of our contest.

Special Merit

The following people deserve special mention. Their photographs made the first cut and all displayed a winning shine:
Enthusiast
Chris W.
Jason K.
Dave S.
Gary T.
H. Horn
Vernon V.
Ryan T.
Calvin S.
Drew C.
Jim T.
Charles L.
Frank L.
Yang L.
Steven M.
Paul G.<---me
So, I was top 18 out of more than 300 people. Pretty cool. These are the winning photos:

^This pic is just incredible, if in fact is isn't doctored via photoshop.

I think if I had a higher mp camera (mine is 3.1) and a better overall shot things would have worked out better. Maybe next year.
