Default Dash Squeak

In addition to the rattles (which I am slowly but surely eliminating) I now have a squeak from the dash when I hit broken pavement and bumps.

Anyone else experiencing this? Very high pitched and short, seems to be from either in front of the steering wheel or near the center stack. Could it maybe be the louver that sits at the base of the windshield by the hood? I know that was the cause of an earlier rattle.

At first I thought it might be a suspension sound, but that is definately not the case.

It is the stereo cover door. It is hard to tell where those noises come from, as they seem to come from everywhere. Mine stopped doing it on its own after about a month or so. Some have fixed it themselves, and I have heard of others having the dealer fix it. It has to do with the spring or pivots that the door is on. When it starts, you can hold the door half closed and it will usually stop. That is how I found it. I am at 9500 miles with no other rattles (knock on wood).

Unfortunately, that's not it. I've got a spring rattle from the box cover, but the squeak is higher up, behind the steering wheel.

Ah, well, I'll have it look at during the next maintenance trip.

I threatened to stop avoiding potholes. The car then threatened to start throwing parts if I did.

Got messy. Need to replace my garage door now.
