Favorite Tire Shine??
So I started using NXT Insane Shine and man it was easy and shined them right up, but jesus christ it slings all over my white box and leaves little black specks all over. So anyway....got suggestions?

You have to make sure to spread it very evenly. I don't know if you have steelies, but I've noticed that shine can get stuck between the hubcap and steely on my dad's Sienna.
Are you just spraying it on and leaving it? If so, that is THE recipe for sling. You have to leave it on for 15-30 minutes, then make sure to thoroughly wipe it down. I'd recommend using an applicator of some sort to apply the tire shine - don't just spray it straight on the tire.
I personally use a base of Armor All Tire Foam and then Meguiar's High Endurance Tire Gel applied via generic tire swipe... which looks like I lost!

i use "armor all extreme tire shining gel"... its in an orange container...great stuff...the shine lasts for weeks and it comes w/ a pretty good applicator....the only problem is that when your due for your next car wash you have to scrub off the remaining excess to properly clean the tire and then reapply the tire gel...other than that it works wonders.

I also use tire "gel" (Meguires or Armor All) It just works better than spray or foam.

I can apply this stuff to the steelies and it shines that up too.

Has anyone used Shining Monkey No Spitting Tire Shine? I've been wanting to try it out for some time now. Only thing that sucks is I can't find it at any of the stores.

I use the shinning monkey wax and polish on my car...I don't know about the tire shine. Shinning monkey is good stuff. For the tires I use Eagle One now. I've used Dupont with teflon before and it's good; just takes it forever to dry.

i use pinnacle's black onyx tire gel. nice sheen with no sling.
at shows i spray the whole tire w/ meg's hot shine aerosol to give the entire tire that "never been driven on the road" look.

I can never get gel to lay down evenly. No matter how hard I try it always leaves streaks unless you glob in on heavy. Then it flings all over the wheelwell. Let us know how it works for you. Maybe I'm just not doing it right. lol

I avoid the rain most of the time so the spray win hands down for me. Plus I'm getting to dang old to keep bending over to apply that stuff. I did armorall on my knees back in the 80's so this spray on stuff gets my vote just for ease of use.
Post up pics of it on your tires. I may try it now that I got those rubberband 18's now. Hate having to wipe excess off the TRDs.
