So, with 4000 miles after 3 months, the drivers floormat has a hole under the clutch pedal. Dealer says its because I wore boots while I was driving and is 'wear & tear'.
What kind of idiocy is this?
Does Scion Corp know what kind of abuse the dealers are doling out?

well it is a cheap car with cheap mats. but bumper to bumper means bumper to bumper. If you get right down to it almost anything is a wear item..

floormats get messed up after 2k-4k miles huh? that might be an incentive to get oil changes at the dealership.

Quick story:

When purchasing my xB, I didn't want the floor mats. Way to expensive. My sales guys said well they are included in the sticker bla bla bla
I said listen I want to buy the box today and I don't want the mats. He finally agreed.
Went to pick up the box the next day and guess what they forgot to take out...........sweet!

i didn't purchase my floormats with the car, i got them from sparkstoyota.com, i haven't seen any wear on them yet, i have about 1100 miles on my car. they are official, they came in a toyota box. i hope i can have them covered under warranty when they wear out, who would i complain to? service department or the lady who sold me the car?
