I think it comes from the pump nozzle. I used to get this alot in my Echo. Try this:

The first time it clicks off, keep the handle squeezed open and pull it up about an inch but not out of the fill tube. With the handle still squeezed, give it a little shake like the last few drops at the urinal. Push the nozzle back in and rotate it alittle to about the 3-4 oclock position. Slowly squeeze the flow and bring it up a notch at a time and let it rotate down to 6 oclock and you can usually let go.

I know it sounds stupid, but i think the mechanism that senses the backflow gets filled up and this maneuver gets that out of there. I would bet the idiot gassing up before you topped off his tank and threw off the pump mechanism

Hope it helps. I haven't had this prob with my xB and I usually hit Costco or Safeway for gas. Good Luck.

I have not noticed that problem on mine. I have fueled 3 times, and only at sunoco so far. I just pull off the cap, and put the nozzel in normal and let it go.
