Default Getting wax off back bumper applique

I have search but have thus far been unsuccessful in finding an answer... Do do I get a get wax off the back bumper anti-skid applique/decal.

If I take the decal off (after 2.5 yrs) I am expecting some fading to the paint, to the point I think I'll see little holes.... if I leave it on it looks like sh*t.

Any help appreciated... THX

Mother's "Back to Black" car polish. It restores flat black body trim which would include your rear bumper applique. It also removes wax from the surface as well. I use it on my girls Volvo which has the stupid flat black bumpers. It works miracles...

I would try using a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol. If it sits outside all the time then, yes it will be faded after 2 yrs. so I wouldn't take it off. This is why I made my own applique out of 3M clear stuff. You can't even see it unless you really look.

You can also use windex and a rough brush... sounds odd and random. But a detail shop did it on my truck (detail job as a bday gift) and it cleaned up the top of the bumper extremely well.
