glove box question

Default glove box question
i just noticed that when i open my glove box and let go of it..it will fall quickly into the open position..is this normal or a is there suppose to be a lag??

No there is no lag. It just opens.

(At least thats the way it is for the xB. )

I have never had a Glove Box that has lag....they always just open.

there is no spring or anything on it. makes it easier to pop out for installing a cabin air filter or other goodies..

I'll bet you can find a glove-box damper you can modify to fit. How about the easy-bake oven door--that's got a smooth motion.

Or better yet--a power glove box, with remote opener.
