Default Instuction manual

I was considering getting my friend some type of book that would tell him how to do tasks on a car. He always has to wait for his dad to help him, and I thought it would be nice if he could do it himself. Only problem is, reading isn't his thing, so it would need lots of pictures.
If anyone has any suggestions, or any suggestions for other car maintenance books, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

there are alot of stickies with how to's on this forum. and the instruction manual of the car itself usually has lots of pictures. could you some coloring, but even i can usually figure out what to do.

what kind of tasks? like changing oil, oil filter, headlight bulbs, checking oil, changing tires, applying tint?

anyway, in my opinion, it is always better to do something with an experienced partner. they might prevent you from making some expensive mistakes that you might regret. but get him to read his owners manual. they give lots of instructions and pictures of most car maitenance.

He has old, kind of P.O.S cars, so simple things break. Currently he's working on getting a car through the Maryland state inspection, and is saving up to begin repairs on an old '60 something Mustang, so I was just looking for anything that would aid him in repairs of that. I don't really know what I'm looking for, just mainly trying to find ideas right now

well, they make vehicle specific repair manuals for alot of cars. some auto part stores like auto zone or advanced auto parts sell them. maybe find a how to for dummies book about cars if they make them.
