Larege, Deep, Paint chip...
Okay, I've stated this in a few other topics and I didn't want to hijack someone elses thread...so I've created my own.
I just noticed this the other day...it may have happened about a week or week and a half ago.
From what I can tell, it looks like the chip was caused by a significantly sized rock. I'm not sure how it was thrown so high to hit where it was either. It is behind the driver side rear window!
Anyways here are some photos...they don't quite show how deep it went, but it's definitely thru the clear coat, paint, and I think down to the primer.
Any suggestions on what you all think I could do would be very beneficial. I have already read about suggestions of getting the paint from the dealer and applying it with the end of a paper match and build it up...and also someone mentioned using a paint pen with clear coat...again any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance...

Have a pro repaint it.
There is a guy around in the Chicagoland area that was
recommended to me, and he only charged $25 per chip to
fill them in.
Maybe you can find someone in your area to do that?
Otherwise, I'd use the touch up paint from the dealership to
fill it in and maybe wet sand it flat, then polish it smooth.

Well, There is a post about deep chips and such. I heard that one of the cheapest and best ways to fix any chip problem is to get 1000 grit sand paper and a small grinder. sand the area, clean it, paint, use rubbing compound, clear coat and whatever else. I'm not sure, I have a couple of paint chips on my xB too. Search the posts about scratches or using keywords like chips AND scratches.

I would get over it and just use touch up paint if it really bothers you.
The more you drive your car, the more prone it will get to rock chips. There is nothing short of extreme you can do except getting a clear bra that will prevent this.
It is just part of owning and driving a car.
