bug remover - goo gone or greensoap
duster... no
Spray wax and a mf cloth... for dust removal? Only after the car has been carnuba'd or polished/waxed
Otherwise a spray wax and MF to clean dust off can mar the super thin clearcoat. Best to make sure you've got a full clean/polish/wax before anything.

GOOD LUCK!

I also wax my rims. (using a cheap wax).
They stay cleaner in between washes and are easier to wash the next time.

My dealer recommended using a california duster out here in the desert. All of the marketing says it it fine for all finishes. Out here in AZ the cars get dusty more so than anything else. What do you guys think about it?

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO to the duster for everyday use... at least on a dark color.

The duster is an avergae joe's tool.

would only use that on show day indoors. POST WASH/POLISH/WAX/DETAIL SPRAY WAX In that order...

But not everyday...

when they say it's safe for every finish, it is... it won't cause your paint to peel or oxidize, leave gouges, or scatches big enough to feel.

Yea, with your beautiful blue it would mar fast.
I suggest you do a full detail first, dedicate an whole afternoon/evening to it.
Wash, clay bar, wash again... then polish. Use a good rubbing compound through Meguiar's or 3M. Polish that baby smooth.
Once you've finished polishing, wax it. I'd go for 3 layers of high gloss wax. I prefer a wax that contains carnuba, it seems to last longer and is great. I hear good things about Meguiar's NXT was but also hear it doesn't last.
Meguiars also has some carnuba.. and some pro waxes out there. Might have to order them online.

Wax it once, go to autopia.com for some detailed instruction and pointers, maybe even product.

I wax it in 2-4ft sections... buffing the wax off as soon as it flashes.
Once I've gone over the entire car...
I take a break and do it again.
the wax will also help fill in the spiderwebs/swirlmarks if any are seen.
When I get OCD'd over it I will wax it four times!

Then if that's not enough, I will come back and squirt some of Meguiar's quick detailer on it.

You will notice after you clay bar it (do this once every 3 months) it will feel very smooth, and you will feel the clay picking up contaminates as you use it. After the second wax you will notice how slick it is.
After some detailing spray, you will want to lick it it's so smooth.

After i do all that, I will clean the windows again. They will inevitably get wax resifue on them and that's ok.

I use a foaming glass cleaner, name slips me right now, but it's some of the best I've ever used.
Don't get too much on your wax, a lot of glass cleaners have alchohols in them and that will disolve wax.

After a full session like this, you can use a duster with minimal consequence. Don't try to "duster" off water spots tho. Dust Only.

Good Luck! And Most of all ENJOY cleaning your car.

I dont use the California Duster. i Swear it leaves those little spider scratches on your car when you dust it. I have Flint Mica...i used the california duster before on my tC i looked in the sun and LITTLE SPIDER SCRATCHES! needless to say i through that stupid duster away...re-waxed my car recently and that was about a month ago washed it 3 times since..and havent seen those scratches come back. My shine looks like glass!

I would like to STRESS this point... prior to spray waxing... polish and wax your car.

Spray wax is for in between real waxings.

I have a question. What's a clay bar? Isn't polishing and waxing the same thing?
