hey guys.. my maint. req. light blinks 5-6 times when i start the car.. oil is good.... everything is working... car has power..

the only thing what i know is: i have to change my break pads.. but i dont think the car have a sensor for that..

 

hmmm my car used to do that.... then it stayed on in about a week. my 5k miles hit..

that light is meant only to serve as a reminder to change oil.
ONLY....

after you reset the light it counts miles.. that's all it does... what you need to do?? reset it.

instructions are in your owner's manual or it can be found in hundreds of threads if you use the link in my sig.

and btw.. when your brake pads are worn.... brake fluid level drops.... low enough.. and BRAKE light will turn on.... (it's used for other purposes besides telling you your parking brake is up)
