Default Maintenance

Thinking about the how many miles i have on my car (43.000), and just wondering what i should expect to spend in the coming year on Maintenance? Is there a 50,000 job? When do spark plugs have to be replaced, brake pads, automatic tran fluid, etc.

I know i could find this info some other place but you guys are so much faster and i don't feel like looking it up. Thanks for the help.

I'd change my tranny fluid now, just be cause you never know. You change your rear every second time you change your fronts and for spark plugs....im not too sure.

this is why you have a maintenance guide.

But a maintenance guide is just that, a guide. Its not gospel from the bible, its a simple guide to around when you should do this maintenance. Depending on how hard you brake and how often, you could go through pads quicker then the guide thinks. If you have a problem with your head gasket or running lean, you could need to change your plugs before the guide says.

Basically the best way to know when to do something, get an inspection or do it yourself.

your car should be serviced about every 3k miles. they check everything and let you know if you are gonna need it, simple as that.
