Default Maintenance light is on...

First off, let me say I was a few hundred miles over due on my oil change and my maintenance had been blinking telling me to change it. However, I waited longer and lo and behold, the maintenance light decided to stay on. This happened the last time I changed my oil so I really thought nothing of it.

I changed my oil today, started up the car and the damn light is still on. I'm at about 21,5xx miles. Any ideas what could be causing the light?

Simply changing the oil doesnt shut the light off. The dealer has to go in and turn off the light.

Really? The last few times I've changed my oil, I've made sure to reset the oil change interval and the light has always gone off aterward.

With your car off
-Hold down the mileage button for 7 seconds and then turn your key to AC then it should blink 5 times and the light should go away.

Thanks for the help, but looks like I'm gonna take it to the dealer. Light isn't going off.
