Go cheap if you like, not me!
My $20 ROB does the same thing as the $120+ ROB....it just might not last as long.

I am wondering - with the NXT tech wax, do you just rub that into the car and then wash it off after a while? I dont know about waxing cars or even cleaning (in general =P) so I am wondering how i can achieve the same effect...
I am wondering if I can just apply that wax, let it sit for like half an hour - then go to the carwash to wash it off? I live in manhattan and don't have access to a hose anywhere... unless i open up a hydrant here in time square... l0l0l0l
thanks for the advice in advance!

1. Wash car and dry (I use a chamois to dry mine)
2. Apply your wax.
3. Allow wax to dry to a haze
4. Remove excess wax by buffing with a terrycloth or microfiber towel
5. Enjoy your shiny car!
wat do u mean by "buffing"? u cant jus wipe the wax off with a towel?
also, is it bad to wax ur car 2 weeks after u jus waxed it?
i kno its not necessary. but my car is dirty as hell cause it keeps rainin and stuff. i want to wash/wax it this weekend feb 3rd. but, im gonna be in a car show on feb 17, so it'll get washed/waxed again.
is that bad?

buffing is a very broad term. To people that detail cars (like myself), the term really doesnt apply to any of the steps in getting a car looking good.
Polishing is what is most commonly referred to as buffing, but most people dont get the meaning correct. Polishing involves a machine application of an abrasive product that will remove paint/clear coat in order to remove swirls and scratches. think of it this way, you've got paint on your hood. A scratch goes down into the paint. Polishing will remove the paint down to the bottom of the scratch which will effectively remove the scratch. waxing is the application of a protection product, either natural (carnauba based waxes) or synthetic (like meguiar's tech wax). most people use the terms polishing and waxing interchangeably, but this is incorrect.
New cars from dealerships can be waxed the day you buy them. At the factory, the painted pieces are baked in large ovens which cures the paint right there at the factory. Paint curing involves gasses being released by the paint. You dont want to cover up the paint with a wax while these gasses are still being released. This is why paint from a body shop shouldn't be waxed for a month or two. again, new car from dealership= waxable, body shop paint= wait a month or two.
you can wax as often as you want. wax is non-abrasive and can't damage your paint. Think of this though, when wax is in the jar or in the bottle, what color is it? yellow, white, green, etc. it's not transparent. by waxing all the time, you continue to build up the wax. as the wax builds up, it's transparency wll start to diminish and the paint will begin to look cloudy. while this won't hurt the paint, it does diminish that awesome "just waxed" look. When people are car shows tell me they waxed their cars 5 times, i just nod and walk away. that many layers is bad for shows where you want your car to look its best.

Just got some today and tried it - got both the wax (bottle) and the spray detailer for in-between.
It's nice.
Very little dust.
Smells good.
Easy to apply and take off.
Looks nice when done.
Used new microfiber towels (1 per panel) and it looks great.
Had to make it look nice for the dealer when I put the deposit on the RS3
