i was pretty curious as i'd seen great results from both products on scionlife. i didn't want to be a victim of camera magic so i tried both products out myself on my bsp tc.

it's impossible to say which one produced a better shine... both products focused on different aspects of "shine".

the Meguiars NXT (which is a synthetic wax) produced a very deep looking coat that highlighted the sandy flakes in the bsp paint. after waxing with the NXT my bsp tc had a very clean sparkling look, but didn't have a slick wet looking finish.

the Turtle Wax Platinum Ultra Gloss (carnauba blend wax) on the other hand greatly muted the sparkle of the metal flecks in the paint and had very little depth, but produced a dark and wet looking uniform shine that looked much more slick than the NXT.

i guess it's a matter of opinion as comparing the two was apples and oranges.

 

Go with turbowax. Happy as crap with their products!!

Reality is, if I waxed my tC with 20 different waxes, there'd be nobody who could tell which was which.
Are some better?
I suppose so.
Some last longer, some may give more shine, but I think a lot of detailing products are equal and people buy into the voodoo.

Just about any premium products will give your paint a great look.

 

So here is 501, buy turbowax. Its cheaper.

I will never use turbo wax, and it doesnt matter how many annoying spam posts you make.

How about you guys get off my nuts about it. I have ZERO interest for them. Other than its makes my car clean as hell. They dont give me money, i dont sport stickers. But if someone is going to ask about products, I am going to throw it out there atleast. I have never just randomly mentioned it to spam it. Just when car cleaning is talked about.

Having tried 6 different waxes/liquids/sealants, I have settled on Klasse.

Like TWPUG, it has little depth, but a deep, dark and wet shine. You can layer carnuba on top of the sealant after 8 hours and the paint simply POPS! off the car.

 

I know guys that have applied 20 to 40 coats of Klasse High Gloss Glaze, and the results are amazing...

i decided to try the whole carnauba wax over synthetic and got this as a result. the picture doesn't really do the wax job justice.

 

I'm definately glad I got the NXT if it brings out the sparkles. I have been realizing that my car that I've had for just over two years is just looking like a black sand color with no "pearl". So I picked up a clay bar and some NXT and will be hitting it sometime this week hopefully.

 

New around here, found this thread. I've been a Turbo Wax user for about a year now, I absolutely love the stuff. I have done a lot of competition grooming, so I'm super fussy about the quality of the products I use. Having said that, I'm no different to anyone else, it still has to be easy to use. One of the things I like with these products is that if you miss and you get a bit of product somewhere you didn't intend for instance the Paint Protection/Wax, it's not a major because it doesn't contain powders so it won't whiten plastic and rubber, like a lot of products do, just rub it off. Pretty cool aye?!

Anyway, this was a car I groomed a few weeks back. The paint has been really abused, it almost looks like it's been rubbed with sandpaper or a really coarse brush. Lol, oh the car abuse, it almost bought a tear to my eye.

No, believe it or not, it was all done by hand. Absolutely blew the owner of the car away. He's still enjoying all the compliments he gets about the car now. I always have a number of clean, good quality cloths on hand makes all the difference.

 

Am I the only one who smells something fishy going on here...

The1st pic showsa car with one washer nozzle in the middle that sprays both directions.

The last two show a car with two washer nozzles.

Even if Im wrong, I dont believe there is anyway to remove those defects by hand alone. I know for sure that a wax wont remove swirls.

 

Hi there, are you referring to my post? If so, I can 100% assure you it's the same car, no tricks. We took about 50 pics of that car each step. And yes, believe it or not, that was all achieved by hand. Stunning thought I know, but it's possible by using awesome products, good quality cloths, and keeping the car out of the sun if possible to keep the paint cool.

The results you see were achieved, with Turbo Wax Cleaner Wax, Swirl Remover, then a coat of Turbo Wax Paint Protection/Wax.

I groomed a Honda Civic today with the Turbo Wax system, the owner absolutely stunned, he didn't realise he had gold reflect under all the muck that was covering his black paint. His boss and one of his work mates were so impressed, they've already asked for their cars to be groomed. The gross goop that came off his paint was seriously revolting. Not now though. Sorry I don't have any pics, as I wasn't expecting to groom that car today, so didn't have my camera with me.

It appears that the wiper-nozzles are indeed different.
You appear to have posted some BS here man.
Sorry, the pix show a nozzle in the middle on top, then on the sides next.
Doesn't bode well for your story.
