Default Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash System

Anyone try the Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash System? Any adverse effects on wax? Please post your opinions on this product if you have tried it. Thanks

Haven't tried it - live in a draught affected area - but have a couple of customers (father and son - Mustang guys - one old/one new) who both swear by it - NOT AT IT. They say it does NOT spot. And the filters last LONGER than the recommended change cycle. The old mustang is non-metalic red - so would certainly show spots. The new one is metalic red - a bit more forgiving.

I'm forced to use the local car wash - touchless about once a week, then hand bay the rest of the time. When I get home, a quick once over with Meguires detailer - touch-up stuff keeps it looking pretty good. I was using a spray polish about every other week until I started using the Meguires - saves a lot of time.

ive used it, worked fine. my only complaint is it sprays out the water real real real slow..........but if you have a hard water in your tap, then it is worth it.

Hi, it works great. The key is to make sure you cover the entire surface with the ionized/filtered water. What you miss will spot, but if you use it right...works perfect.

As for slow water...that may be due to your low water pressure, kink in the hose or....the filter needs to be changed.

The water does NOT spray out "real, real slow" for me, at all.

for you guys that say it works great: when you do your final rinse and let it dry, are you letting it sit in the shade to dry or in the sun?

thinking about purchasing one, but i have no shaded areas

i have the newer one (the pro one), i can wah in the sun or shade (shade is alwats perfered... but i dont have a garage, or a car port) you pretty much go through the cycles, you wet down the car with a high pressure cycle, soap it down, use the mit that comes with it to get it real clean, use the rince setting to get the soap off, then after the car is cleaned, go the final non-spot cycle on the entire car

Cool! Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll try one out after I use up my Maguire's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner.

I have the pro and love it. I do not use the mit that came with it. I have a microfiber sponge which works quite well.

Just got the "pro" kit. 5x harder spray, but I live in Atlanta where the water is hard and the pressure is high.

Spent $35 on it, plus extra filter and stuff. Came with a Swiffer duster too, and a wheel brush.

Anyone who hates drying their car by hand...go buy this kit.

Hey! Every one who has used, is using either of these systems.....Would you say you use more, less, or the same amount of water as you did when washing the ole fashion way (bucket, hose, mit or sponge)

James....come on guy...this ain't rocket science. You use LESS water. Plus it is a LOT faster and the spot-free dry is fantastic. You can take a break for an hour or so and then come back and wax it.

The "pro" kit is exactly the same as the first edition, they just throw in some "extras" and jack the price up.

I dont know where you guys live, but i live in florida, and we have really hard water here. So the filters only work for about two washes. and its a little tricky to wash your black xB in the setting florida sun, seeing as you can see the soap drying right before your eyes, as soon as you put it on. long story short, you should use the filters, but still hand dry. other than that, its great.
