hey guys, everytime i reverse i get a screeching noise. some sort of squeal. im pretty sure its the front wheels. it's only in reverse, while im not braking. when i brake, it doesnt make the noise. im planning on taking it in to the dealer in the next couple of days but i was just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me what it could be before that. just so i know what to expect from the dealer.

also, my only mods are tein stechs and 19" wheels.. u think ill have any problems at the dealer?

Yes! I experience this almost every time I back up. It's weird. I'm gonna ask about it the next time I bring it in for service.

My car is also doing this. In reverse, as I am backing out of a driveway, my brakes make a very loud squeeking noise. Only happens in reverse. Time to bring it in again

 

sorry for bringing this topic back from the dead but has anyone else experiance this problem? or more importantly, how did you fix it? its doing it on my tc also, less than a year old.

 

My tC does this too. When I am about to start reversing there is this thud coming from the front of the car. I will be taking it in soon but don't know what to tell them or if the problem will replicate at the dealership.

 

MY 2005 TC does the same thing. The squeal is loud enough to wake my neighbors. Only happens in reverse and it only happens when the car has been parked for a while. I brought it to the dealer. He "roughed " up the rotors (?). The noise went away for two days. Today, it is back. I called the delaer back. He told me it is a little rust and all cars make that noise. (Give me a break!). It is definately coming from the front brakes.

 

I have this problem but only in reverse... I have to use my ebrake to back down my driveway cause it embarassing when the neighbors are outside!

 

Same here... Happens everytime I back up from parking for long hours. Any solution yet?

 

same thing just started happening to me...im replacing my brakes and rotors with slot drilled this comming weekend so ill let u know if it gos away
