NEED DIY for Removal of Steering Wheel!!
#2
First, make sure the steering wheel is straight.
Second, it is recommended to disconnect the battery because of the airbag.
Third, you will need a T-30 torx socket with at least three inches in length to remove the two bolts on both sides. I say "torx socket" because you will probably not be able to remove and tighten the bolts enough with a torx screw driver.
BTW, those bolts will not fall out, they are held in by plastic tabs even when they are loose.
Fourth, remove the connector for the airbag.
Fifth, get a 19mm socket (I am pretty sure it's a 19, if not try a 17) and loosen the bolt but don't remove it all the way. Now you will need to wiggle the steering wheel back and forth with your body weight to loosen the bolt from the steering column. Just keep pulling on that ho till it comes loose, you'll get it.
Good luck!
