Oil changes? 3k or 5k?

^^^ It has yet to be determined what weights this is true for...
I still use it because there is more speculation at this point, and it's never let me down in my cars and motorcycles.
I am testing GC in the next change though to see how that goes...

Group 3 wass legally synthetic, but when emailed they said their oil was,
"100% synthetic with PAO"
Why on earth would they add the phrase "with PAO" if its already PAO?
Mobil 1 is a mixture of group 3, PAO and AN or Ester basestocks, depending on the particular oil you are talking about. There top tier products, like their MC oils, 0w-30 racing oil, and Delvac 1 are still PAO based. Its just the cheaper mass marketed stuff that has gone the group 3 route. Is it still a good product? So far seems to be. Does it seem to provide better UOA than other GPIII syns NOPE. So why pay the premium is what a lot of people are asking?

I've been following the numerous threads on BITOG too.
Again, it appears shady, but we don't know which oils contain what yet.
I'm not forcing anyone to use M1 - since you can get 5 qt jugs at WallyMart for $23, it's not too expensive, IMHO.
I'll see if the magic GC is better...in all honesty, changing the way I do, it likely won't matter one bit.

My engine seems to take so long to warm up in the mornings.

Great to see us BITOGers are taking over the world. Hail BITOG
Anyhow, I have been using M1 for years and I will be sticking with them. For a synthetic oil and a good filter, you can go way past 5000 miles without worrying.
