Default paint problems

i now have a big white blemish(you can call it that) on my rear quarter panel... this happened out of no where, and it looks very, very odd. i have no clue as to what caused it, i just walked up to my car and their it was.. do you think that scion will take responsibility and fix it? i know that some have had luck with crappy paint on their scions, so is this an issue... i want the dealer to fix it

I'd say you have a minimal chance of getting SCION to do anything. Chances are (post pix) that it was caused by bird crap or something...which isn't covered.
Even under the "Platinum" plan which I have, paint is exempted.

Sounds like something got under the clear coat and caused it to weaken and then eventually peel. Toyota won't take responsibility for that unless it was a common problem.

I would really bet that Scion/Toyota will not do anything in regards to your problem and that quite possibly something else caused it... but, I'd definately take it in and have them look at it...

Realitically, unless others report and have the same issue, there is nothing to say you, or someone that came along, didn't put something on your car, or that it wasn't exposed to a solvent of some sort.

Sorry.

Could a pebble/rock debris have caused your problem? If so, that is just bad luck. Get a bottle of touch up paint for under $15 and fix it. Simple. Like to see a pic to see actual damage.
