(((RATTLING PROBS!!)))
I just wanna kno how many people have an engine that shakes A LOT? Its not nesessarily an idle prob (but can be) but the shaking is somewhere around 800 RPM. Im asking because i think it was either toyota or geo who had a really messed up block that rattled a lot and had a recall on it just to put on better motor mounts!! This problem was because these blocks were made by machines that also wear in time so the blocks were off in specs. Im wondering if Scion is having the same prob.

damn man, i hope your just joking cuz that would suck ___. I also never slow down on speed bumps so that could do it too. I'll probably get jon or brian to see if they have the same noise or idle loudly thingie that he said. i probably have the dirtiest xB out here. I never wash it and the wheel wells are fukn muddy as a mother

I just bought my xB about two weeks ago. I have an automatic and I have the same characteristic. I don't think it's an indication of a problem. My GF's sister had an Echo (1999-2001??) which I have drove before and it had the same characteristics, when I drove it at 40k miles. It may just be normal.

everyone tells me to but i'm just lazy. still have to go for my oil change but i keep putting it off. and theres still a rattle and now it does it when i reverse just a little and break. it'll rattle for a few seconds

If you have a xB and it rattles in reverse or when you are stoped on a slant, It is you stock air box. A cold air intake or ram air will fix it. Atleast it should. I can hold my air box and put it in reverse and the vibrating automatically stops.
