A little while ago I noticed rust on the motor mount. the mount thats located near the alternator. Took it to the dealership and they told me it was normal, just wanted to get a second opinion because I thought rust on a motor mount would be part of the rust protection warranty.

It's just surface rust on an exposed part. Won't affect the performance at all.

 

Bare metal will rust Period. If you don't want those parts to rust you must coat them with clear when they are new or remove the rust and clear later. For living in the salt belt I'm surprised that is the only rusted bracket.
