Default Should I be using STP gas treatment?

I have been using like 4 bottles of these when I filled-up at the pump. Is this a good idea on a new car?

EDIT: It seems I worded myself wrong. What I meant was that I have used up a total of 4 bottles of gas treatment, NOT at once. I used one bottle every other time that I fill up. Hope this clears things out a little. I know now that it is not necessary to use this.

I don't think it's even necessary to use one... why would you even use 4 though?!

4?! I think that would kill your gas mileage. You're essentially putting in MORE alcohol than the small percentage of ethanol that's already in the gas.

Oh-No! Please don't! The alcohol content is way more than your fuel system is designed to handle on a every tank basis! It could cause damage to the rubber and plastic parts. It won't hurt to use "ONE" bottle every 3,000-5,000 miles to keep your fuel injectors and intake valves clean. Just don't over do!

one bottle every 5, 000 miles is cheap insurance against dirty injectors.

Red the directions. It may say that one bottle will work for as much as a 20 gallon tank. If so you would only need about half a bottle every 3-5 thousand miles. Too much will do bad things to the components in the fuel system. I use Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant. It has an injector cleaner and fuel conditioner in it. It is thick and oily compared to the STP product and seems to do a good job. The oil is good for the fuel pump and gives some top valve lubrication. You use 3 oz per 10 gallons of gas.

One I like is the Chevron Techron cleaner/additive and since it is used in all grades of Chevron gasoline, and I use almost exclusively Chevron gasoline, I doubt I need a whole lot of additional 'mouse milk' added to the fuel.

If I ever do end up having to use a bunch of non-Chevron gasoline, I suspect I will toss in a bottle of additive to make sure things are clean when I get back to using the Chevron again.

Whatever one does though, keep in mind that many additives contain a lot of alcohol, and Toyota/Scion has set a MAXIMUM LIMIT OF 10% ALCOHOL for use in our engines. Many of today's gasolines already have 10% alcohol in them as part of their standard formulation, especially in colder weather. Adding large quantities of an alcohol-heavy additive to a gasoline that is already at 10% alcohol exceeds the absolute limits set for our engines.
