Default Sometimes hard to put into 1st gear

Does anyone eve have the problem where sometimes, it's a little hard to put into first gear? Like, it has to be coaxed to go in? Mine does this sometimes.

Its compleatly normal...When its cold, it will always be difficult. when i warms up after 10 or so minutes, it should be easier to get into gear...

First gear is generally not synchronized, the same with reverse. They do this so that you don't accidentally downshift to first, or shift into reverse while moving forward. It is completely normal.

Ah,gotcha. Thanks a lot.

I really hate the 1-2 shift though. Wish I could do something about it. It seems much longer than all the rest, haha.

Does the short shifter make it too short? It seems like I would have to reach down the if the sihifter were much lower, haha.

Here is how to avoid diificulty. Shift into reverse first then go to first gear it will then slide right into gear

the reason this works ^^^ is because in order to get from reverse to first, you have to go through neutral. if you need to do a 2-1 shift, double clutch, in that you let the clutch out in neutral before putting it into first... easiest way to do a 2-1 shift

for the xa/xb the short throw shifter is only about .75 inch shorter in overall height
