Yeah, dark colors tend to do that. Especially BSP, BCP and IIP. PGP doesn't do it as much and neither does flint mica. It has to do with your eyes picking up on things that are obvious differences in the way the light reflects. All of the colors have this, they are just noticible on those colors because of the dramatic difference to your eyes.

Besst way to fix it, have a professional wax it right and then keep it clean and NEVER use terry cloth towels on your car.

There are plenty of products out there for gettting rid of swirl marks and scratches. Read up on the articles on the website and get to work.

TCM won't be as noticable cuz it's a lighter shade. My Camo has next to none but I baby it and used to be a detailer but it still is probably the most forgiving of all the darker colors, IMO.

TCM seems to be great, but I always use microfiber.

swirl marks are caused by impurities in towels or sponges that are lightly dragged across the paint when washing or waxing......

1. wash with a car wash only.....NO WASH/WAX PRODUCTS

2. dry your car CAREFULLY....alot of people get scratches and swirl marks from drying..

3. use a clay bar if needed to make the finish smooth like glass again...

4. use a paint cleaner (applies like wax)

5. use a paint polish or scratch remover (applies like wax)

6. use wax (applies like wax...wait..)

that should take care of almost all swirl marks.....be sure to only buff with microfibers that are CLEAN!!!!!!

I highly agree man! You took care of about everything there.

I would like to add that just any Microfiber towel won't work though. Like the ones sold at Wal-Mart or Advance Auto parts etc.. suck bad! I buy mine from here:
http://pakshak.com/
I also don't use the absorber or any chamois like that on my car either. I use Pakshak's microfiber waffle weave towels for drying.

Since that towel has what they call "waffles" or "pockets" in them they can pick up any lose debris left and hold them in instead of just dragging them along your paint. Plus they will hold way more water than the absorber too and give a streak free dry.

To get rid of most swirls I use a Porter Cable 7424 Random-Orbital buffer along with Meg's #80 and/or #83. That will pretty much get rid of most swirls if done right.

Read here for some more tips on swirls:
