Default tire pressure & maint. req light !!

Ok i searched so dont bother ..

1st. My tire pressure light is constantly on. I reset it all the time and i checked the pressure and its fine. I dont know whats up with that.

2nd. My maint required light when i start my engine blinks like 10 times then goes away. It never did that before. Whats the deal with that.

i know im gonna take it to the dealer. I just want to know what you guys may think the prob is. I've had my car for over a year and 3 months now. and this is new.

The maint req light means its time for an oil change padre. If you just got one than it means they forgot to reset it.

do you have over 5000 miles? if so you just need to reset your maint indicator light. there's a tutorial just use the search option.

I reset it like 30 times and it keeps coming back on. I know the situation of the 5000 mile mark. I have over 23,000 miles on mine so thats not the prob.

u guys really can't reset ur maint. light???
hold ODOmeter button in, turn car off, turn key to "acc./on" position...keep holding ODOmeter in.....numbers will flash with dashes, then go to all 0's....once numbers come back up, turn car on...
that simple!!!!

ur issues with ur tire pressure light need to be taken care of at the dealership, ive seen some cars have bad sensors, thats y light comes on.....ive also seen ppl not reset the light correctly at all, and causes it to come on, but take it in to be on the safe side

just bc you had the oi changed doesnt mean the light isnt blinking bc of maintenence. mine came on when i hit 15k bc thats a marker for it. i wasnt ready for one either. they are preset to come on at certain mileage and if its been so many miles before having the oil done or whatever it will still come on.

its triggered to blink at 4k or so, its set to steadily come on at around 5k
then pops back up at about 7.5k, etc.....stupid retarded system that causes more issues than it helps

Rick covered this. Wouldn't suggest doing it unless you do follow normal reasonable guidelines like checking tire pressure w/o a light telling you to

Default can putting on after market wheels of different sizes effect

can putting on after market wheels and tires of different sizes effect the tire pressure warning light? or will it just need to be reset after putting the new wheels on?

First, you have to be on the actual odometer setting. Turn your car off and hold in the odometer button. Then turn your key to the on position while holding the button in and you will see four dashes, then three and so on.

I have a question though. I have Konig wheels on my car and I didn't put the sensor in them. Is there any fuse or anything I can do to get turn the light off?

if it means anything then it would probably happen again if you were to reset it again. If I were you, I'd just reset it again and see if it comes back on.
