Default VSC, TRAC and Check Engine light all at once?

Well driving to work today my check engine, trac and vsc lights all came on, not sure if they were all at once or not because I did not noticed till I got to work.

I know I need to go to the dealer but I am hoping there are some other small things I can try before doing that, my expedition had a loose gas cap one time and the check engine light came on and my box's gas cap was loose but I tightened it and they are still on.

Is there a way to reset this if it was just the gas cap or can anyone think of anything else it might be? Drives fine so I am kind of at a loss.

Dealer is usually 3+ hour wait so I am hoping there may be a couple things else I can try.

thanks in advance

Did you get new rims? I think the last person who had those lights go on had 19" rims that cut an exposed wire that is on the driver side front wheel well...

This happened to me after installing K&N's cold air intake. I guess the kit pushes the temp. singnal out of spec which trips out the computer. I did some research and found that the check eng, VSC, and TRAC lights are all on the same circut for some reason. So, when one comes on, they all come on.

Try doing a search in the forums. You should be able to pick up some good info.

Hope this helps...

Same thing happend to me when I installed an CAI without disconnecting the battery. I disconnected the battery for about a minute to reset the computer and everything has been fine since.

Just to follow up on this I went to the dealer and it ended up being a bad 'charcoal filter' and is going to be replaced under warrenty.

I have done some searching and all I could really find information wise was a few rollas also having problems with them needing to be replaced early (<25k miles) and nothing other than than.

I guess it is some type of emissions thing but basically to me it is just another $250 part that will need to be replaced every few years most likely.

My box did have some gross smells going on for some reason so hopefully this will resolve some of the funk.

Thanks for the help
