Default well time to replace the clutch

my clutch is worn out and i need to replace so i bought a new exedy one. i was wondering how easy a task of this is to do myself, my dad has done it before on other cars, so he and i were going to try and tackle it, does anyone know where i can get like a set of instruction or something to help. i looked in the repair manual on this site, but it doesn't completely how to get to everything and whatnot. so any help woudl be great.

How many miles do you have? I ask because if you have a really low amount of miles on your xA, your dealer may cover the repair.- If you have 40,000 miles or more, it just could wear out from your driving style....

A clutch should last 100,000 miles or more. My Fathers old Toyota pickup ran 190,000 miles on the original clutch....

As for help with the repair- If you have to ask someone how to do something that is involved as a clutch is, It's probably best you leave it to the professionals.....

I've done my clutch 2 times on my old XB. Once when I put in my Jun lightweight flywheel and Spec stage 3 clutch and again when I took them out before I sold the XB. It's a big job and not really for beginners.

i'm not doing it, my father is, and he knows how to do it, i just want to at least know what to do before we get under the car.

and oh yea, warranty does not cover clutch wear, it is considered one of those little maintence things. only if there is a defect or something they can fix it. its like asking them to replaced the brake pads for free.
