If some people have had good luck with them so far consdier yourself lucky. In time that squegee is going to get you!

I've stopped using the California Water Blade squeegee thing and The Absorber as well. Have a feeling that I caused a few scratches with them. Microfiber towels all the way. Leafblower would be cool, but I might have a little too much fun.

Yes works great. Just be sur eyou are in the shade. Not a substitute for a hand wash every couple of weeks but it is great for a quickie!

Hi guys,

Just wondering is it ok to use a t-shirt that is 100% cotton to dry off the car? I just washed my car and used a 100% cotton towel like someone in the topic mentioned and it worked ok

I always feel that the microfiber is nonabsorbent. I use one of those absorbers as I am too lazy to use the good old tried and true Shamois.

I just bought some of the "Der Wunder" microfiber towels from Autopia.org and I have to say, they worked great. Very absorbant and left no microscratches whatsoever.

I used their Sonus clay bar as well, and it also worked wonders. A+

I don't dry my car.

I always fill my gas tank after sun-down, and every other fillup, I go thru the touchless car-wash, which blow-dries the car.

When I do hand-wash my car, I always do it the hour before sun-down, and afterwards I pull my car into the garage for the night. Then in the morning, I Windex the windows, taillights, and headlights for their water stains.

It doesn't matter how soft of a cloth you use for drying, if there is a single miniscule particle of dirt laying somewhere that your cloth can pick up, your car will get scratched.

Leaf blowers are a good option, very clever. I think I might just invest in one of those.

Recently tried the water sheeting method mentioned by others - remove spray nozzle from garden hose and then sheet the water off with the continuous flow. Worked pretty well. Only some drips of water leftover instead of drips everywhere. Now to get a nice towel from Autopia.

Thanks everybody for the feedback. I am wondering what every individual mention can these be used for wiping down the car? Lets say I washed the car today and the next day the weather is still nice out and I want to wipe down the car. The reason I ask because I have the Black Sand Pearl color for the Scion and I wipe it down with a 100% cotton made in USA white towel, but after I do that I notice there are more scratches on the car. Also, I can't seem to get rid the red dust on my car. When I use the towel I tried to wipe the red dust to a corner to get it to go on the ground, but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions, please?

Thanks

If you want to buy supplies... you can do so from the Autopia store, or from (I'm just listing a few... plenty of others are there!):
