..and how do i get it off??????






it feels like its on the inside of the clear coat and will not come out. it feels as smooth as if there were nothing on it. the last thing i used before i noticed it was tire shine, but it cant be it, could it? its only been there for a week and it seems to be getting darker everyday. any help would be great. thanks

might be dried on tire shine and that is a BOOGER and a half to remove. It happens when the silicone in some of those tire shines spits off the tire on to the wheel. I had it happen on one of my rims on my xB and it was a pain to remove.

I would try something like 3M adheasive remover first and see if that works, (it did for me) and if not, you might need to polish the rims out with a light hand polish so you can get some agressive aggregate action on them.

Acid doesn't have the ability to pull contaminants out of things, only wipe away ones on the surface.

And why you used something acidic in the first place is beyond me. That's the last thing I'd put on a wheel. But, that's just me. I hope you can get the stains out and make your wheels beautiful again.

try the infamous peanut butter... let it sit for half hour then rinse it off...
