What's the best way to clean under the hood?
#2
Since I have Carbon Fiber Engine cover....I saw in the cleaning directions to use auto glass cleaner. So I use the auto glass cleaner for hoses, battery, fuse box, all liquid container covers, Cold Air Intake pipes.
I first spray glass cleaner onto a clean terry towel then I start gently rubbing the towel around those components. Then I'll go over everything else with different clean terry towel.
Gets everything clean and shine. I don't know if there's different method. I know professional detailers use compressed air to spray off all the dust and sand. I haven't been brave enough to use "Air in a Can" and spray the hell. I'm just scared to spray air into some wires and screw up everything else.

i use 1 terry towel, a little meguires wash, get towel slightly soapy, wring out completely, so its not dripping any soap or water. wipe down everything. then another terry towel, wetit, wring it out so its damp, wipe down everything to remove any soap residue. wait 10 minutes then wax all painted surfaces.

the window glass cleaner works good.. we got alot of polished and chrome motors here at my work.. and we use windex to clean them.. same method as explained earlier.. its the easiest thing to use.. everyone has the laying around somewhere, it it does the job right, without messing anything else up.
