Default Will an early oil change help my car run a little smoother?

Hi Folks! I have a newish tc with 2,300 miles on it. I am still on the original oil that came with the car. I drive mostly city miles and the weather here has been quite cold.

Lately, I have noticed the car not running as smoothly as it did when I first got it. The shifting (automatic) is a little jerkier, the engine idles a little rougher, and the acceleration just doesn't feel as smooth. I know I am early per the manual for an oil change, but given my rougher than normal driving conditions do you think an oil change would help my car run a little smoother?

it might

but some ppl change their factory oil at 500 or a 1000 miles and after that every 5K miles

it wouldn't hurt

nope, truly doubt it. it's a new car go test out another one at the dealer to compare. you might just be noticing more detail since you've had the car. when you first get something new you dont notice the lows just the highs

i agree your just getting used to the car. It happens sometimes. I built a 400hp 4wd 91 toy pickup and after a a year of driving it i was ripping through the center of town in the thing with my friend and i looked over at him and said, damn somethings wrong this things getting slow, he replied with you just spun 3rd!
I also nticed my tc getting louder as it broke in. This is all normal.
I would tho change your oil, after all the engine is breaking in so there is a little bit of nrmal junk in the oil. I usualy change my oil at 2k when breaking in any motor and then 3-5k afterwards depending on the motor and oil and usage.
