is that a OEM windshield? What's the benefits of 3rd party windshields? Stronger? scratch resistent?

I got my Mazda MP3 windshield replaced today by Diamond -Triumph Auto Glass at $216!! I was so surprised by the cost, especially when I expect to cost me like $400-500 with my $250 insurance deductable. I end up can't even use my insurance LOL, but is really cheap. I am pretty sure Scions won't cost much more. Service is good, and pretty fast. Called early morning, and had the mobile service done by 2pm. The glass looks like the same company "Carlex" of the OEM, though its not OEM glass as it looks a bit different. But they have lifetime defect & workmanship warranty, and they have 300 locations all over U.S. So if some of you need to get windshield super cheap, may be Diamond - Triumph Auto Glass is a good option. They have a pretty nice website too and seems like they have been around since 1920+. My insurance agent recommended it, so I gave it a try.

Yeah, I still can't believe the price...
