MIAMI WINNERS where are they now?

No one is really looking in this forum any more, it seems. I just wandered by because I found an OLD bookmark for it.
For myself, I'm still doing the same stuff, still living at the same place, and still have the same box.

Good to see I'm not the only one still rockin' the Miami Winner banner. Just can't seem to give it up.

There are other events yearly in various parts of the country, most somewhat less extravagant than flying 328 people to Miami for the new model preview.
The Miami event was a one-of-a-kind so far in the life of Scion, but one never knows what they may come up with in the future.

Back in December of '06, before the xD and xB2 were officially introduced to the world, Scion flew about 330 Scion Owners down to Miami , put them up in the posh Loews Hotel on Miami Beach for three days, fed us, entertained us, even took over a Miami Beach night club for one night AND let us all attend a special event where we got a sneak preview of the two cars, a private show by Ludacris, and a presentation of the CEO of Scion, etc.
Scion paid for all the events, transportation, hotel, and many other things.
It was the first chance I had to meet most of the folks who were lucky enough to win the drawings for the sweepstakes.
Right around the time of the event all the winners had the Miami Winner pic added to their avatar...

There were a number of ways people were chosen - the vast majority were random sweepstakes drawings from Scion Owners who entered the sweepstakes to win a trip to Miami.
The Admins and SuperMods here at ScionLife were added to the list, above and beyond the 300 contest winners as a reward from Scion for our involvement.
Some specific club presidents/officers/founders were also added, again as a reward for what they had done for the Scion Community.
There were six drawings to pick the 300 winners, with number six filling in for those folks who's circumstances didn't allow them to attend for whatever reason.
IIRC, by the time it was all over, there were 328 winners and special selectees that made it down to Miami.
It was a wild time. :D

It was awesome being one of the few that drove though... it was also fun to fit 5 people and luggage in my car at the airport with the full system and air ride components in the back
