The story is if you got a ring, you got a ring - it not, no ring. This he said/she said stuff will go on forever and its already getting old and it will not help anyone figure out what may or may not be going on.

In the end - whatever the actual story is will probably make no difference since the outcome won't change.

A thread, just wondering if we'll be getting a ring, is greedy or ungrateful? I mean, did someone specifically say that Scion owed them a ring or that they were mad a Scion for not giving them a ring? If someone did... did the majority come off as such? Where the eff did ANYONE say that Scion needed to "DO MORE"?

I reasonable person should be able to say no, nobody is ____ed or greedy or feel Scion hasn't done enough for them... that we're simply just wondering if the ring will arrive, why so many different stories and claiming to all feel this ring is the bomb. I've seen many instances of people saying, within the same breath, that they've really appreciated what Scion has done for them.

I've been fielding emails from someone, simply because I wondered about a ring, earlier in this thread, implying that I'm greedy. If just loving that ring and wondering if I'll get one, makes me or others greedy or ungrateful, then so be it.

I'm a greedy, ungrateful person because I wish I had a cool ring. Gimme, gimme, gimme!

I never once said anyone was greedy, I'm just tired of the he said/she said stuff since it really won't help anyone get an answer.

Pick someone - go get an answer from Beyond Marketing or Scion and lets be done with it.

Maybe a super mod or Darren/Troy would be willing to get the real scoop for everyone.

I don't care to call anyone. I just care to see what everybody else thinks or were told. Thus the point of a message board, particularly this forum... pages and pages of mindless posts.

My advice to people would be that if you can't look at this thread without wrongly assuming we're being ungrateful or greedy, and especially if it ____es one off, then don't look.

It's like, if someone were to make a thread about Ludacris and the songs they wished he would of sung. Would that mean we all were ungrateful for the performance in the first place, because we had a conversation over the songs we liked but didn't hear and had the audacity to make a thread over it?

(I love analogies... that one was made up on the fly... I'm sure I could of done better, lol)

I honestly just wish everyone would be given an answer to the question - "Whats the deal with the ring?"

What everyone was told is besides the point if we could all just be told what the actual deal is. I don't reply attempting to insult anyone but to assist.

yea I'm sure scion is in enough trouble for all the trouble we caused in miami, I mean the city was still standing when I left but who knows I left before about 98% of the rest of them, I'm sure they were regretting the whole open bar at sobe, because everyone, not just us VIPs were getting the open bar even the general public

Perhaps. I don't mean to directly address you if that is what you think.

06BOX, my replies have been in response to the quote below, and the people agreeing with it.

sheesh man.. no one's ever thankful or satisfied anymore..

damn people.. like jon said.... give it a rest.... at least you guys went to miami. sheesh..
Twas insultive and off base IMO. I don't take well with anybody telling me or other's whom I think aren't deserving of such cuts to their character, that they're ungrateful or "damned". IMO also, it makes them even more at fault in the character department to say such a thing.

Guess I'm not that thick skinned.... I think it's just when it's a slam to my character like that, I get a little need to defend myself.

Ack... scionlife locks too many threads, deletes them, moves them... I'm not a fan of it, lol.

I stated my defense to the slanderous talk of our characters, I'm fine now. Not that it'd make a dent in anyone's head who has already insulted us thus far.

I'm done. Speak of rings, greed, whatever!

Indeed. I estimate after you factor in air fare, beach view hotel rooms, luggage, $100 cash, food, open bars, group transportation, convention center and night club rental, an appearance by a star of a hit TV show, and private concert by a multi-platinum grammy-winning rapper/actor, you're easily looking at north of $2000 spent per "winner". I like the ring and my club president has one... and yes, I would love to have a t-shirt, but I think it's asking too much considering what they've done for us already. JMO

The beverages in my fridge were warm, there was a kid kicking my seat on the flight back, and I did not receive a ring from Scion Corp. I am gonna sue the pants off of them for this awful experience.

Come on guys, we got an incredible experience, got to see the cars two months before any media, had a great concert, met great people. Let the little stuff go.

here is the story with the rings...(from my own experiences)

all the staff at the Lowes in Miami agreed that everyone was going to get a ring.
when it was discovered that very few did get rings, the staff said a box of rings got lost. then several of the staff mentioned the rings might be presented to us with a gift bag.

here is a kicker...the gift bag may actually be the carry on luggage we all got...

i left the event...thinking that if scion was intending to give us rings, they would make good on it by mailing them later.

when i got home i heard a lot of speculation and questioning about them. i emailed the folks at beyond about the rings and who was supposed to get one...

the reply i got (from Jason) was the rings were for the club presidents (the ones specially picked by the two bigger clubs).

now, the difficulties come in...not all the club presidents (of the two bigger clubs) got one...half of the club presidents at the DT got one...other club presidents were at Loews and did not get one...

all i am interested in doing is finding out what their intent was, and if they are going to follow through with it.

those of you who are satisfied with everything that happend, you do not need to post. we know you are happy with the trip by your posts in other topics.
this topic is only about the ring and its' details....

keep this on topic.
