That Top 10 List is somewhat humorous. It’s not “joke funny”, but it is somewhat entertaining when you think about each point. Especially since you could post it on several hundred different car forums and still be mostly accurate. That’s what is called a “stereotype”. We’re all just part of the “tuner crowd”.

Well, usually when stuff is right on, like...

You know you drive a tC when you turn the radio up to drown out the panel squeek.

Stuff like that is funny, but "ricer generalizations" are not funny.

LOL!

ps, yeah these are generalizations but they're not to be taken seriously. I thought my sarcasm expressed that but i guess not. they're not here to offend either as i said. some people find them funny, some don't. okay.

^ i saw that - it was hilarious and so true. i dont even know what's so special about those wheels. to me, they're not really appealing... the 5 spoke ones are OK but the red ones...? i duno...

i think in the case of the sportmaxs, i think someone threw them on their box and people started copying. what are the advantages of the sportmax over other wheeels?

if we cant laugh @ ourselves, then who can we laugh at? I fall victim to alot of the list but not to be a conformist. i have been doing mods for more than 20 yrs. only changing being the technology. i once owned a 65 dodge dart that had red clearance lights in the fender wells that would shine on the tri blade chrome spinners as well as putting them in my interior. the stickers have been around as long as stock car racing only now we using monotone colors. the sportmax wheels r now replacing the alloy sawblades of days gone by. the quest for speed has been around forever. there was always someone trying boost their model T. the beauty of this hobby is that even tho we may be using the same parts, we r each making it our own.

I understood your sarcasm, that’s why I laughed inside (no sarcasm on my part). To me, your list is the “10 Commandments of Rice”.

I find it funny that some people do these “mods” on their Toyota and then have the ***** to call a Honda “rice” based on the same criteria.

Alternately, the kareha mark is an orange and yellow teardrop-shaped statutory sign indicating drivers of old age (over 70).

Both marks are designed to warn other drivers that the marked driver is not very skilled, either due to inexperience or old age. Which is why I find it amusing when people put it on their cars in the US.

I know the whole JDM thing is huge but essentially marking yourself as a bad driver is pretty hilarious.
I rock Wakabas and I'm still in my first year of having a license. So I qualify. But it doesn't necessarily mean you're calling yourself a bad driver. But I think we need some markers for the US like woman who drives using her cell, the infamous lane changer, the slow poke, and last but not least the @$$ rider. What do you guys think? And yes, sad to say SportMaxes are the herpes of the Scion World. Especially in So Cal.

^ do what i do - honk at them and them and cut them off and spray them with the rear window washer nozzle. that gets them sooo ____ed hahahaha. and about the @ss rider - if they're going below the speed limit, they deserve to be tailgated!
