Airsoft guns
Anybody have airsoft or regular bb guns? I was thinking about buying one off ebay. I dont want/need one of the Tokyo Marui style $300-$400 guns. This mainly will just be one of those things that you mess around with for an hour once in a while. Any brands to stay away from? I want a electric airsoft gun capable of automatic fire.

Sorry bro but unless you go for the calssic army/marui/ics you are going to get something that will either break on you or won't perform worth crap. I would consider myself an expert on the subject so feel free to hit me up with any possible guns before you buy and I'll give you the run down on it.

You might want to get a decent one (read slightly more expensive). I got a cheapo one from a store for like $15. The thing wouldn't hold more than 2 pellets before jamming and having to open the gun, remove the pellets, put it back together. Accuracy was ok with it though. I'd say a $50 one should probably be ok. The electric ones would probably be around $100 or so if I recall correctly.

I'm telling you right now that not to get a $100 aeg. There are several brands that make marui clones etc, but don't touch them. Supposedly SRC has started making some quality guns but personally I wouldn't go near them.

check out shortyusa and lookup the homeland defender. It was 40-50 bucks hits 300 fps and will leave a hole in peoples skin if there too close. all my friends laughed at me when i got that one and they got 1911's, but they stopped laughing when we went to play.
Shoty's has some pretty cool guns and there fun to deal with.

I thought it was only he draconian states like Kalifornia and Washington DC that didnt allow "evil black rifles". I was under the assumption that an AK could be bought LEGALLY in most states.

I thought you meant through illegal sources. Sure, if you can pass Class III license backgroun check , you can get a real AK. But for $300-$400? I thought those were around a thousand or so?

I walked in to my gun store and told them to order this AK out of ShotgunNews and 15 days later I picked it up. Just had to pass a background check and pay in advance. $300 - came with the rifle, 3-30 rd mags ,1 -100 rd drum, 100 rds. of 762x39, sling, cleaning kit, speed loader, oils, solvents...and something else too....I forget though.

I could be/probably are wrong about the price (haven't really been too interested in buying automatic rifles lately), but damn! Thats pretty cheap for a reliable assault rifle. Is it fully auto? Or a Semi-automatic?
